Exploring new product opportunities
RetailMeNot was considering embarking a new retail specialization. I designed and conducted studies to help determine the area of focus and the best new product approach. I started by conducting a survey to get a better understanding of user needs and interests, then used the results of that survey to inform a user study where participants were shown four different product prototypes. Ultimately, the findings of these studies helped reveal that the strongest new product opportunity was in a new, stand-alone food app.
